About me
Early-career horticulturalist
I have just completed my RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture (final results due September 2023).
I worked in social media marketing for several years however my passion for nature and gardening has steadily taken over my life, so in 2022 I decided to take the leap into the professional world of horticulture.
Passionate and aware
I am particularly interested in sustainable and wildlife-friendly gardening techniques. I believe that the future of British gardening looks very different to what we have been used to over the past few decades. With many native species in decline and the climate becoming more extreme, we need to adapt the way we design and maintain gardens.
I am also extremely interested in the benefits of horticulture to mental health and wellbeing, and believe gardening should be accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Qualifications and experience
- RHS Level 2 qualification
- PA1/PA6a Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides certification
- Planting Design evening course hosted by Karen Blight
- Worked with two local garden maintenance companies
- Work experience as a Judging Team Runner at RHS Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Flower Festival
- Planting Max Parker-Smith's 2023 silver-gilt winning show garden at Hampton Court Flower Festival
- Planting and supporting The Beardy Gardener's 'Giving Garden' at Hampton Court Flower Festival 2023
- Regular volunteer at The Therapy Garden, Normandy
- Occasional volunteer with Wayward Plants
- I am a member of the Young People in Horticulture Association (YPHA) and a student member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture (CIH).

- Clean driving licence
